Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 10, 2026

The short version: Rox does not store your browsing history or page content. Your conversations are processed in real time and are not saved. We only store your email if you subscribe to Rox Pro.

1. What Rox is

Rox is a Chrome browser extension that provides an AI assistant powered by Claude (developed by Anthropic). The extension appears as a floating orb on webpages and allows you to chat, summarize content, draft messages, and get help — all without leaving the page you're on.

2. Information we collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

3. Information we do not collect

4. How your data is used

Your email address (if provided) is stored in our database solely to verify that you have an active Rox Pro subscription. It is never shared with third parties or used for marketing without your consent.

Page content and chat messages are passed through our server to Anthropic's Claude API to generate AI responses. Please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle API data.

5. Third-party services

6. Data storage and security

Subscriber emails are stored in a secure Supabase database with row-level access controls. We use industry-standard encryption for all data in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

Your usage count is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's extension storage API. This data never leaves your device.

7. Your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@rox.dog.

8. Children's privacy

Rox is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
